mere desh ki dharti

    2 tablespoon all purpose flour
    1 teaspoon powdered black pepper
    2 teaspoon soy sauce
    1 cup refined oil
For Garnishing

1 stalk finely chopped spring onion leaves

How to make Vegetable Manchurian

Step 1

Vegetable Manchurian is one of the easiest recipes that can be prepared very quickly by following a few simple steps. Made with the goodness of veggies and spices, this delicacy is a must-try. Here’s how you prepare this Manchurian recipe at home. Soak the veggies in lukewarm water with a pinch of salt, this will wash off all the adulterants from the vegetables.

Step 2

Once the vegetables are washed, take a chopping board and finely chop the vegetables, take a large bowl and squeeze out the excess water from cabbage and carrots. Mix them with cornflour, pepper powder, salt, all purpose flour, ginger, garlic and chopped spring onions.

Step 3

You can add more corn flour if you find it difficult to make balls. Keep the balls in the refrigerator for half and hour. Then take a shallow fry pan and heat the oil in medium flame, once the oil is hot enough, deep fry the manchurian balls till it turns golden brown.

Step 4

Then take another pan and heat oil, then add ginger, garlic and the white part of spring onions. If you like to make it more spicy add some finely chopped green chilies and stir fry. If you like the smokiness of chinese food, then, you can keep frying these veggies on high flame so that the smokiness of onions and garlic adds a nice piquant aroma to this recipe.

Step 5

Saute on high flame for a minute and add salt, pepper, tomato sauce and soy sauce. Add 1 cup of water to it and when it boils add the cornstarch paste. As soon as the sauce begins to thicken, add the balls prepared earlier and remove from fire. Chop the green portion of the spring onion and sprinkle on the sauce. Serve with Fried Rice, Hakka Noodles, Pan fried Noodles and some thirst-quenchers.
